Are you feeling sad or finding life difficult right now? Are you struggling in your personal or professional relationships? Are you unable to sleep, are feeling stuck or finding it increasingly hard to make important life choices? Perhaps you are experiencing symptoms or anxiety or depression? Do you ask yourself “What’s the point?”…..I offer a safe and confidential space for psychotherapeutic counselling for individuals.

About the Therapy

Every person that comes to see me is unique and so I base my practice on that person’s experience and their immediate needs. However it may be for some, that the issues are more rooted in their past and it appears that this affecting them in their current everyday life.

During the first initial session, I may ask a few questions in order to get an understanding of how best we can move forward and work together and whether counselling would be helpful in bringing about positive change. We can decide together how many sessions are needed and I can answer any questions about the counselling process.

My aim is through dialogue, reflection, exploration and certain techniques, to assist and accompany a person to work through and shift from any depressive or anxious thoughts or feelings. To help them to become aware and understand where the roots of these issues might coming from. And to work together through any painful or difficult feelings which may have become a stumbling block for positive change or development.

I also believe that the therapeutic relationship that will build over the sessions, will be at the heart of the work. So it is important to form a collaborative partnership with each person. I will accompany them to become more aware of themselves, to become more able to form and sustain relationships, whilst gaining a sense of autonomy over their own life choices.

I am also a qualified ‘Assist’ practitioner, which means I help those who have current suicidal thoughts or ideation.

I enjoy and have had extensive experience of working with diversity and therefore; welcome people from all communities, ethnicities, faiths, cultures and sexualities to my practice.
