Ayşe HAZIR – MBACP

It happens—sometimes life feels burdensome and overwhelming or just dull. We may feel stuck, anxious, or even that everything is fine but still lacking in meaning. We might face crises—whether it’s an identity crisis, a mid-life crisis, or a crisis following a loss. Essentially, living with ourselves becomes difficult. We might end up developing coping strategies. While these strategies (such as addictions, workaholism, or compulsions) may initially offer relief, they often start to harm us over time. And sometimes it is just that ‘life happens’ and that feels hard . These are the times we turn to psychotherapy.
Together, we will explore the challenges you are facing and work together to try to make life more bearable/liveable and even enjoyable for you. We will work towards discovering other possible ways of living.
I completed my undergraduate education at Istanbul’s Boğaziçi University. I did my psychotherapy training and master’s degree at Regent’s University in London. After completing the first two years of my training in “Integrative Psychotherapy,” I focused on “Existential therapy” in my final year. I am a registered member (MBACP) of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. I have experience working with divorce, domestic abuse and sexuality difficulties.
As we walk this path together, my preference is to work face-to-face. However, when travel or other commitments arise, we can meet online to ensure continuity of therapy. Our sessions will be held weekly, on the same day and time, and will last 50 minutes.
Fees: 90 GBP
I am able to offer therapy in Turkish as well as English.
