Charlotte Riddington

We all need someone to talk to sometimes. Whether you are feeling low, anxious, overwhelmed or ‘stuck’, I can offer you an empathetic and confidential space to feel heard. My aim is to build a secure therapeutic relationship in which we can work together meaningfully, to help you explore your thoughts, promote your personal growth, and reach your goals.

I am a BACP registered trainee counsellor, working towards my master’s degree in Therapeutic Counselling. I work integratively which means that I use different approaches for different needs, mainly; person-centred, cognitive-behavioural, and psychodynamic. I have previously taught mindfulness within the NHS and have studied its benefits. I have worked within the charity sector providing support for people affected by domestic abuse and feel passionate about empowering clients to make sense of their experiences and take control of their lives. I have also volunteered in the community, facilitating mental health support groups. I have experience working with low self-esteem, depression, anxiety, chronic pain, and OCD.  I abide by the BACP Ethical Framework for professional practice.
