Gabriela Talavera MBACP, Psychodynamic Psychotherapist

Hi, thank you for looking at my profile. I am a neurodiverse psychodynamic counsellor and psychotherapist offering a culturally aware, neurodiversity-affirming, and LGBTQIA+ affirmative space where all parts of you are welcome.

I work with second- and third-generation immigrants, international professionals, students, and people navigating the complexity of living between cultures. Many of the clients I work with are high achievers carrying the pressure of parental expectations, cultural responsibility, perfectionism, or the challenge of negotiating two worlds — the culture they come from and the country they were born or raised in.

I also work with people who feel parts of their identity, culture, or experiences have remained unseen or difficult to speak about openly. Therapy can become a space to explore what you carry internally, the parts of yourself that may feel hidden, conflicted, or disconnected, and the impact this has had on your sense of self and belonging.

Alongside this, I have many years of experience working with the LGBTQIA+ community, including people exploring gender, sexuality, identity, and relationships to themselves outside of traditional expectations or labels.

My practice is grounded in an intersectional approach. This means understanding that our mental health and experiences are shaped by many interconnected parts of our identity — including culture, race, migration, neurodiversity, gender, sexuality, class, trauma, and family dynamics.

Fees £65-£90 per 50 min session
