Nina Löchle Therapist

Nina Löchle UKCP

Nina Löchle offers a warm and empathetic environment where clients can feel safe to be just the way they are and supported to explore the things that might be difficult to bear in their lives right now. Nina practices relational Gestalt therapy, which regards the trusting relationship with her clients as the basis for an ongoing exploration. She believes that all of us can encounter moments in our lives where our habitual ways of doing things don’t seem to work any longer and we get stuck. Counselling can help working through these difficulties, exploring what we do and how we do it and whether our ways of thinking or doing things are helpful or not. By becoming aware of our thought and behaviour patterns we can find new perspectives and make different choices that lead to happier and more satisfying lives.

With a background in the creative industries, in fashion & design, Nina has an interest in drawing on her client’s innate creativity to find unique solutions to their problems. She takes a holistic approach and believes that mindfulness, self-compassion and the wisdom within our bodies can provide powerful support for healing. Having managed international creative teams she has a thorough understanding of the stresses and anxieties that the demands of our fast-paced lives and work situations can bring. She has several years of clinical experience in working with issues such as relationship problems, anger issues, depression, anxiety, panic attacks, life transitions, childhood sexual abuse, depersonalisation, attachment issues, shame, low self-esteem, perfectionism and self-criticism, loneliness, grief, neurodiversity support and trauma.

Previously, she worked for a therapy service dedicated to helping people struggling with eating disorders and body-image issues.

Her current professional development interest lies in trauma treatment approaches as well as distress related to climate change.

Being a German and British dual national, she can conduct sessions in English or German.

Nina further works as a coach, at the intersection of coaching and therapy, helping people uncover and examine the underlying processes, that create challenges in work settings or stuckness in making the next career step.

Nina practices relational Gestalt psychotherapy. She holds a Master of Science degree from the Metanoia Institute in London. She is a registered member and abides by the ethical standards of the UK council of psychotherapists (UKCP) as well as the Metanoia Code of Ethics and Practice.
