Hi, my name is Nina. I am a registered HCPC Trauma-informed and Culturally responsive
Creative Psychotherapist (Drama and Movement therapist), Holistic Mental health facilitator,
Author, Guest Lecturer, Artist, storyteller and generally compassionate and kind individual.
Dramatherapists are registered and regulated by the Health and Care Professions Council
(HCPC).
As a Trauma-informed therapist my practice integrates holistic care, incorporating mind,
body and soul. While supporting clients, I consider and incorporate yogic movement,
somatic healing, breathwork, nutrition, psycho-education (understanding trauma and its
manifestation), and nervous system awareness as part of my practice.
I have been practicing for 4 years working to support clients with a number of issues
including: racial trauma, sexual trauma, abuse, neurodiversity (Affirming not challenging),
anxiety, depression, suicidal ideations, relationship challenges, attachment trauma,
developmental trauma and grief. As a therapist I work alongside you and at your pace, and
provide creative tools to explore what sometimes may feel inexplicable or unbearable.
My theoretical framework is Afro-centred and informed by the therapeutic relationship,
psycho-education, Neuroscience, psychodynamic approaches, psychoanalysis and
research. I am South African born and intersectional in my approach to therapy and
therefore when appropriate integrate non-western psychological and psychospiritual theory
and ritual to support my clients in their exploration of self.
I specialize in supporting clients in exploring the complexity of intersectionality (race,
religion, gender, sex, class, ability, age etc.), intersubjectivity and cultivating client agency
collaboratively, recognising fragmentation and root causes to traumas. I work with
teenagers (14+) ,Adults (18+), Couples, Mature clients (60+).
I offer a non-judgemental, empowering and compassionate space to work together
collaboratively, both in-person (Brixton) and online therapy offered at a sliding rate. My rate
is £75 for a 50 minute session, and I also offer a few low income sessions (happy to
discuss). We can arrange an initial 15 minute consultation call to meet, to get a feel of the
working relationship and style, as well as to discuss goals or to figure this out together.
I look forward to meeting you 🙂
