Peter Ryan MBACP

Peter is a qualified Humanistic/Integrative psychotherapist and registered member of BACP. Prior to training as a psychotherapist, Peter spent seventeen years working in a community setting where he frequently engaged with individuals involved in anti-social behaviour, poor mental wellbeing and substance use issues, and it was this experience that motivated him to train as a therapist.

Peter believes that no two people are the same, and that we all have our own experiences, likes and dislikes, therefore, in his work, he draws on different modalities or therapeutic approaches, in order to meet the needs of each and every individual client. Peter views the relationship between client and therapist as fundamental to this work and aims to build a solid relationship that allows for contained and deep exploration during the work together.
Peter works to create a safe, secure and confidential space, that is free from any judgement, wherein an individual feels comfortable exploring and discussing feelings or experiences they may be struggling with.

Peter has experience working with a broad range of issues such as depression, anxiety, relationship issues, and bereavement and also has worked closely with members of the LGBTQIA+ community.

Peter offers sessions both online and face to face. Please feel free to contact Peter via phone or email and we can arrange an initial free fifteen minute consultation.

Fees: £70, with limited number of concessionary places available (discussed on a case by case basis)
