Nancy Mulwanyi

As a trainee counsellor, I work to create a welcoming, compassionate, safe, encouraging, and nonjudgmental environment where clients may be open and honest about their complicated thoughts, feelings, and experiences. We all experience challenging or disorienting moments, so I want to provide an environment where clients can explore and feel heard, understood, and respected. I will follow my client’s pace because I know this may be an overwhelming experience, especially for those for whom this may be their first time in counselling or going through a challenging time. To assist my clients in understanding their feelings and locating their solutions, I will work with them using an integrative and person-centred approach.

To assist my clients with comprehending their feelings and locating their means of coping with their problems, I will work with them utilising an integrative strategy that emphasises the person-centred approach. Additionally, I might employ a psychodynamic strategy, which could provide me with more insight into the client’s background and assist them in recognising how their prior experiences might influence their present-day attitudes and behaviours. I value collaborating with various client groups, including children, adults, people with special needs, and those with mental health problems. Have experience working with LGBTQ, Menopause, depression, Anxiety, Loss, Grief, bereavement, attachments, and more. I appreciate variety wherever I can and am acutely aware of cultural distinctions. I also treat all individuals respectfully, regardless of their cultures, racial or ethnic backgrounds, or religious beliefs. Being a student member of the BACP governing body and adhering to their ethical framework.
